About The Palm Beaches: the back story

Palm Beach is a slim island of grand houses, Worth Avenue’s boutiques and the Breakers, with West Palm Beach across Lake Worth and Boca Raton to the south. Henry Flagler’s railroad made it a winter resort, and his mansion, Whitehall, is now a museum.

Palm Beach island

Walk Worth Avenue and its vias, visit the Flagler Museum and the Society of the Four Arts, and walk the lakeside path.

West Palm Beach

Across the lake, West Palm Beach is livelier, with Emelina, new to the MICHELIN list in 2026.

Emelina in West Palm Beach earned its first MICHELIN star in 2026.

Getting there

Palm Beach International Airport is minutes away, and Brightline stops in West Palm Beach and Boca Raton on its way between Miami and Orlando.

Our advice: winter, from December to April, is the Palm Beach season. Book early.
