About Driving in Florida
Distances are long: Orlando to Palm Beach or to Tampa is about two to three hours, and the Panhandle is a day’s drive from Orlando. Many highways, including Florida’s Turnpike, are toll roads, so check how your rental car handles tolls before you set off. In hurricane season (June to November), follow official alerts.
